Minas returns to Deer Head Inn following their sold out concert last summer. It was July 6, and band members heard that João Gilberto, one of the creators of Bossa Nova, had passed away that day. The night was dedicated to João. Now 6 months later, Minas will present a show highlighting Gilberto's most famous tunes, Chega de Saudade, Desafinado, Doralice, Estate, Você e Eu, Brazil, Zingaro, among others, including The Girl from Ipanema! This concert will feature soloist John Swana along with sidemen Tom Cohen (drums) and Jim Stager (bass)... and off course, the guitar, piano, and voices of Minas' leaders, Orlando Haddad and Patricia King...
