Billy Cobham Drum Seminar at Mauch Chunk Opera House
For anyone who is a drummer or a musician of any kind, this is an opportunity to share the thoughts of one of the world’s greatest musicians and one who has been the go-to drummer for so many more, Billy Cobham.
Coming to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with trumpeter Miles Davis and then with the revered Mahavishnu Orchestra, Cobham is acclaimed as fusion’s greatest drummer, with a groundbreaking and influential style that combines explosive power and exacting precision. He has remained a tireless musical explorer, performing with greats from Peter Gabriel to Stanley Clarke for over 40 years, earning him status as one of the most versatile and imitated musicians in the world.
For this exclusive presentation, The Art of Performance from the Drummers’ Perspective, Cobham will share his knowledge and experience to help any musician to understand how to maximize and consolidate their musical efforts to inspire any band to think as a team, and create a “Band Face” during performance.
Sponsored by Tama Drums, this presentation is not only a PA exclusive, but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the philosophies first-hand of one of the world’s great musicians. Tama Drums is a brand of drums and hardware manufactured and marketed by the Japanese musical instrument company, Hoshino Gakki. Drums destined for the U.S. market are assembled and stocked at Hoshino (U.S.A.) in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The U.S. subsidiary also contributes to Tama’s market research and development.
We invite and welcome anyone with an interest in music to be a part of this historic event.
